Key Box Access
A few minutes prior to Booking start time, we will SMS you a code to access the Key Box and retrieve the keys to the Ute. This code will be valid for the duration of your booking.
Pickup Condition Photos
You are required to take photos of the vehicle and keep them as a record of the condition the vehicle was when you picked it up. Photos of any damage not listed as pre-existing in the Rental Agreement should be sent to us at this time in order to ensure you're not held liable for damage you never caused.

The vehicle is to be left as clean as you found it and any accessories used are packed and stowed behind the seats.
Return Condition Photos

Yes, our minimum booking duration is 1 hour.
All of our Utes have a large carrying capacity (1 Tonne plus) and a large tray. Each vehicle has different attributes so please be sure to check the features of a specific vehicle match your needs.
Yes. The bond amount required is dependant on the duration of the booking. The bond amount starts at $150 (bookings 1 day or less) and is capped at $500 (bookings 7 days or more). The bond required will be shown on the booking form and will be charged at the time of booking.
Bonds are released by us no later than 48 hours after the booking comes to an end, however it may take longer to appear in your account. Customers are emailed when the bond is released by us and is generally cleared within 3-5 days.
We offer a price incentive for Mondays and Tuesdays which are typically quieter days (excl. Public Holidays) in order to maximise our fleet utilisation.
Our website will only allow bookings for up to 16 weeks. If you require a Ute for longer than this timeframe, please Contact Us.
Drivers must carry a Queensland Open Class license and have held it for at least 12 months. Drivers who have had a suspended license in the last 12 months are unable to be a driver. Drivers must be aged between 21 and 75 inclusive.
The person booking a Ute must be the primary driver. You can nominate a second driver (assuming they also meet the drivers license requirements)
Yes, every ute comes fitted with a tow bar and ball ready to hitch a trailer.
You can cancel at any time by contacting us. If enough time is given, and depending on the circumstances at the time - we will make every effort to reach an equitable outcome for you and Yellow Utes.
Unless otherwise agreed, the vehicle must be returned to the same location it was picked up from. Please contact us if you'd like to drop off at another location - additional fees may apply.
Yes, all bookings have insurance included and your liability for any accident where you are the at-fault driver is limited to the damage cover excess that you selected when booking the vehicle. Insurance is provided by Insuret (Policy Number FLE030994)
The mobile used to book a Ute will be used to identify yourself during your booking and you may be required to send us photos or messages from that mobile number. We also send important messages such as unlock codes to this mobile number so we need to ensure you have entered the correct mobile number when booking.
Yes, if you're a new customer. Once we've verified your identity and mobile number, future bookings do not require ID verifification. You may be required to send us additional documentation to prove your identity. We reserve the right to refuse bookings to customers who fail to satisfy our ID requirements.
Each Ute in Toowong has GPS tracking hardwired into the vehicle. These systems are extremely accurate in tracking distance traveled however in the event that the GPS connection drops out, the distance traveled will be rounded down in the renters favour by calculating distance between points as the crow flies.
In addition to distance traveled, the GPS technology tracks a variety of driver behaviour such as speed, acceleration, braking and cornering. Our systems may send you warning messages if dangerous or illegal driving is detected and we reserve the right to terminate bookings early if such driving behaviour persists.
You are required to report any damage (not already listed in your rental agreement) by sending photos to us when you're picking up the vehicle. Photos are to be sent via SMS from the mobile number used when booking the vehicle.
You are required to contact us as soon as it's safe to do so. If the damage is minor, it may be considered 'wear-and-tear' and not require any further consideration. If the damage is not insignificant, we may need to file an insurance claim.
In addition to GPS and Anti-theft systems, our Utes in Toowong are fitted with a number of AirTags as part of our overall vehicle protection strategy. These AirTags have had their speakers removed so you will not be able to hear them but they may appear on your Apple device as 'nearby'.
Only if its below half full. The vehicle needs to be at least 1/2 full on its return. If refuelling is required, use the fuel card provided inside the vehicle.
To return a Ute, you need to park the Ute where you picked it up from (or within 100 meters). The ute must have at least 1/2 a tank of fuel or you will be charged a refuelling fee. If for some reason you cannot park the vehicle from where you picked it up from you need to contact us. The vehicle needs to have its keys returned to the key box by using the unlock code you have received via SMS.
You are required to contact us as soon as you become aware the vehicle will be returned late. If You return the Vehicle later than the Return Time stipulated in your Rental Agreement, We reserve the right to charge late return fees in the amount of double the standard rate for that period of time for every hour, or part thereof, the Vehicle is late.
You are charged a daily fee for the distance traveled the previous day. These charges may show up in the days after your booking has completed. In some instances Tolls and other such charges may be made after your booking is complete. We will email you a receipt of any charges and if there are any concerns over charge please contact us.
Registered utility vehicles are classed as Class 3 Vehicles and have a higher toll charge than Cars or Motorcycles. See linkt's website for full toll pricing. We also charge a small processing fee of $0.95c per toll.
Although relatively uncommon, there are a number of reasons why a bond may take longer than usual to appear in your account. Bank holidays, smaller banks or credit unions and the duration bond was held can all impact the time it takes to see your bond reflected back in your account. If the bond has still not appeared within 5 business days, please contact us to obtain the STAN number (an inter-bank routing number for your bond) so your bank can advise you on why there may have been a delay and when you can expect it back.

All vehicles have hardwired GPS systems allowing our systems to know when they have been returned to their zone. Securing the vehicles back inside the key box is just as simple as pickup.
